If you read around the interwebs at least once a week you probably know that nail art is a HUGE trend right now.

One that I, as an unemployed individual, have tons of time to toil over!

I’ve gone from about 10 nail polishes to… let’s just say I’ve outgrown the “nail polish drawer” in my vanity (it’s a big drawer).  I’ve gotten to the point where I’m buying “special” nail tools to dot, line, and swirl colors. And have embraced the importance of having the best quick dry no chip top coat (Sally Hansen, red bottle).

There are tons of blogs all over showing awesome DIY nails, but it’s hard to figure out how exactly they got that many colors on one nail or what to use to make tiny designs so I’m going to direct you to my two favorite tutorials that give you step-by-step instructions on how to execute some rad nails for beginners or the seasoned pro.

Okay beginners, here is a tutorial from Refinery29:

And for those of you out there doing some pro nail tricks, try out these fun manicures inspired by Lisa Frank, again from Refinery29! Who doesn’t want rainbow cheetah print nails?!

And for those that don’t have the time or patience for nail art, I am also obsessed with the long wearing and super fun Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips. I personally am a huge fan of the “girl flower” print,

which looks a lot like the awesome flowers Japanese Contemporary artist Takashi Murakami is famous for.

Since I love doing my nails so much, I would LOVE to see your nail art!

If you do any of these tutorials or even have your own style on lock post of picture of them up on the A-Line Facebook Page! ??Have fun! (Don’t forget the GLITTER!)
